The Mysteries of Udolpho having been tamed, and Emily having moved on to the pages of Northanger Abbey, we begin today the first book of Trollope's Barchester Chronicles, tales of the Victorian Church moving in mysterious ways its wonders to perform.  Meanwhile, Richard III starts his journey to a car park in Leicester.
