It looks as if we are heading for a long period by the fireside this winter, so we at Good in Parts are leaning towards selecting more cosy, more happy,  more amusing (even funny) books to suit indoor readers.  They may also come into the category of Books That I Thought I Had Read (But Perhaps Didn't) and Books That I Read So Long Ago That I Can't Remember Everything That Happened. This policy started with The Secret Garden, and will continue the week after next with Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, and Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre. Meanwhile, one of the most famous ghost stories begins next week and will finih on Christmas Day (that's a hint of which story it is).
